Now, fast-forward to 2012 and The Social Lights are ready for world domination. Specifically, helping coordinate the Guinness World Record attempt for Largest Gathering of Zombies this Saturday at Midway Stadium.

Phil, the 50 ft inflatable zombie at Zombie Pub Crawl #ZPCHere’s the lowdown:

The 8th Annual Zombie Pub Crawl creeps back into the Twin Cities this Saturday (10/13) for not only their largest event to date, but the largest gathering of zombies, ever. The event will feature a Guinness World Record attempt for “Largest Gathering of Zombies” at Midway Stadium AKA Zombie Island, at 8:00pm on Saturday.

The record is currently held by the New Jersey Zombie Walk, which had 4,093 attendees in 2011 and a reported 15,000 in 2012. The Minneapolis/St. Paul Zombie Pub Crawl had over 27,000 attendees last year, but will need to provide Guinness with ample evidence to earn the official title of “Largest Gathering of Zombies” this year.

Other notable features of Zombie Pub Crawl 2012, (also known as, “ZPC Ocho”) include:
• Carnival Rides
• RFID Wristbands
• Social Media Kiosks
• ZPC Smartphone App
• Brain Belt Cranium Beer
• Beer Garden + Liquor Garden
