We hopped on a trending conversation and created a quick-turn piece of content for Chex Mix that garnered 14M+ organic Facebook impressions, becoming the most viral piece of content in Chex Mix’s history and helping to achieve the brand’s goal of connecting with their social communities in meaningful ways.

WHERE WE STARTED

The week of July 19th, a new cultural meme was born in the form of “Little Miss.” The trend utilized characters from the popular 70s book series by Roger Hargreaves and Adam Hargreaves to depict relatable truths in a fun, humorous light. Conversation escalated quickly with 475K+ mentions of “Little Miss” across social. 

WHAT WE DID

To make the content even more relatable to our Chex Mix audience, we leveraged one of our strongest product truths: everyone’s favorite Chex Mix piece is the Rye Chip. 

 

We combined the Chex Mix Rye Chip with the trending Little Miss-style format …and the rest is meme history.

THE RESULTS

This organic Facebook post quickly turned into “Little Miss most viral piece of content in Chex Mix history.” Not only did it receive 14M+ organic impressions, but the post topped the brand’s average number of engagements by 1,530%.
