The Social Lights Sponsors Twin Cities Startup Week

Posted on: 09/17/15

We’ve got a sweet spot for startups (especially Minnesota-based ventures)! Not that long ago, we were pitching ‘The Social Lights’ in business plan competitions and giving the ol’ elevator pitch to everyone within earshot. So when an opportunity to sponsor Twin Cities Startup Week arose, we jumped at the opportunity. Showcasing the best from the Startup Capital of the North, Twin Cities Startup Week featured over 50 events throughout the Twin Cities September 8-13, 2015.

Events like Beta.MN 2.5 – a science fair for startups, the Minnesota Cup (congrats on the big win, !) and MinneDemo.

Shoutout to all who swung by our Social Hour: Social Media for Startups sessions throughout the week, or joined us for Mentor Hours at . The event was a huge successlikely due to the combination of skilled MOJO Minnesota mentors, passionate founders, BRUNCH, and rock-solid social media marketing tips!

TwinCitiesStartupWeek-TheSocialLightsWe enjoyed meeting dozens of entrepreneurial individuals launching and scaling new businesses. There are plenty of dreamers out there, but we’re constantly inspired (and pushed!) by the doers, makers, hustlers putting their dreams into plans and plans into action. Especially those entrepreneurs leveraging social media to scale their ventures. When it comes to social for startups, the opportunities are endless. That’s why we’re still in business ; )

And you want to know the best news? It’s 2015, and we firmly believe there’s never been a better time to start a business. Entrepreneur.com agrees with us [Why Now Is the Best Time to Start Your Own Business] and HuffPo pens advice to today’s graduates explaining: Why There Has Never Been a Better Time to be an Entrepreneur; closing with, “Use your intellect and energy to make the world a better place; you surely can.” BOOM.
