It was meant to be. When Secrets Of The City published the first-ever 3 Emoji Review, it immediately caught our attention.
So we called our friend Taylor, the producer of Secrets of the City (which, by the way, SOTC is a daily digest of Twin Cities culture, featuring the best events of the day. You should sign-up. Like right meow.). After 3 seconds of deliberation, we decided to tag team the effort. The 3 Emoji Review is a weekly roundup of the local social scene with some social media trends sprinkled in. And with that, we’re pleased to present our very first 3 Emoji Review for Secrets Of The City:

Zombie Pub Crawl To Announce 2015 Artist Lineup
October 17th marks the 11th anniversary of the Zombie Pub Crawl (#client) descending upon Minneapolis. Last year, it successfully secured the Guinness World Record (remember?). This year will be no different. Thousands upon thousands of undead souls will partake in the world’s first and largest festival of the of crawling, partying undead. Word on the street is that the lineup announcement will drop today on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. Get on those tickets, because we know the event sells out every year and prices only go up from here…
Target Launches Beacon Test in 50 Stores
Target-ed marketing is here. Target has started testing beacons in 50 stores, including Minneapolis, with a national rollout expected by the end of the year. Beacon technology will allow them to send you notifications if you “opt in” to share your location in their app. That means you’ll start getting special deals and push notifications while you’re shopping in the store – 2 max per trip, for now.
