The hottest ticket in town on Friday, December 18th wasn’t for a show at First Ave or even the Target Center. Three hundred creatives flocked to the Minneapolis Institute of Art to hear Nora McInerny Purmort speak about the subject of “time” as part of the CreativeMornings series.
If you aren’t familiar with Nora’s story, start here. It’s her blog, called My Husband’s Tumor, which she started after her boyfriend (soon husband) Aaron discovered that he had brain cancer. We wrote about Aaron and Nora (and their Cotton Bureau t-shirt campaign) last year. The t-shirt campaign has since evolved into Still Kickin, a non-profit business whose motto is “Help a Human Out”.
Inspiring morning at @Minneapolis_CM with @noraborealis. Lots of laughs. Some tears. #creativemornings #cmmsp pic.twitter.com/NUNKitSM2S

At CreativeMornings Nora talked about time and we listened—laughing, nodding along, crying (admit it, you teared up a bit, especially at her #Ralphiegrams stories) and wholeheartedly agreeing with her sentiments on those signs you see in bulk on the shelves at T.J. Maxx.
