On November 21, our entire team came together for Gather & Give, a massive 1-day project aimed at showing gratitude for both our clients and our team. Throughout the day, we generated enormous amounts of content, shared social media tips and tricks via livestream, and ended the day with a Thanksgiving feast that featured every company on our client roster.
The final product of Gather & Give was this 90-second video, which we think is a little more fun than your traditional holiday card.
So what all happened?
Well, in 1 day, we…
- Baked 18 “Chopped-style” recipes, each featuring client-specific ingredients
- Captured over 200 finished photos, highlighting 22 clients (as well as many, many more less-nice, unfinished photos)
- Received over 60,000 social impressions from our day-of #GatherandGive content
- Created 1 Thank You video for our clients with a 24-hour turnaround
Oh, and we also took on the #MannequinChallenge.
You mentioned social media tips?
We did! Most of our tips were previously shared on our social channels, so be sure to check out our Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram pages for more details, as well as the hashtag, #GatherandGive. Here are a few of our favorites…
Styling: The photo is as much about the details and accents as it is the feature item (i.e. bay leaves, spices, stuffing vs. the turkey).
Food Photography: Give your photo a beginning, middle, and end, guiding your viewers’ eyes throughout the image.
Facebook Live: Strong connection. These days, mobile cameras are barely discernible from each other in terms of image quality. What can ruin a broadcast is poor connection. Be near your Wi-Fi source for smooth audio and HD picture.
Snapchat: Lead into the next piece. You want to keep your viewers on your story as long as possible. Give them a reason to stay.
Instagram Stories: Show something exclusive. Give the audience something they’re not going to see anywhere else. Go behind-the-scenes. Use a coupon code. Be creative!
