A Literal Minnesota Movement
Make It. MSP. is a collective effort of Greater MSP, various makers groups and other involved community members to create a destination for people who are considering making the Twin Cities their new home. #MakeItMSP started trending on Tuesday. Why, do you ask? They held a press conference announcing the official launch of #MakeItMSP. Utilize the tool to encourage all of your long distance friends to move here. Because “Minnesota has seasons and it’s delightful” isn’t always the most convincing argument.
Tweet You Later, Twitter Employees
Jack Dorsey is making moves at Twitter headquarters. Why? Twitter plans to lay off as much as 336 people (I didn’t do the math, but that’s 8 percent of its staff). Ouch, insert fail whale. The move is intended to make things move quickly internally, specifically with engineering efforts. The layoffs will also cost the company $15 million in severance payouts. Go ahead, read Dorsey’s letter to employees. It’s longer than 140 characters.
Designer of Target’s Newest Fashion Collaboration: Qui moi?
Target newest style collaboration is out? Color me all things monochromatic (totally in this year) and excited! Because guess what else: you’ll have a say in what’s being offered. Target has opened the pages of Who, What, Wear to create an ongoing apparel collection ranging from sizes 2 to 26. Ok, back to the “you’ll have a say part.” Who, What, Wear founders Katherine Power and Hillary Kerr will take to social media to become inspired and see what users want to buy. Deliver ladies, DE-LIVER. The line is set to hit Target’s site come February.
